11.6. Reports

This chapter explains how to generate reports in TCMS.

11.6.1. Reports by Product and Version

TCMS can generate a list of Test Plans, Cases and Runs by product, version, component, and build.

11.6.1.1. Procedure: View a product report

To view a product report:

  1. Click the REPORTING tab.

  2. Click the Product Name.

    The product selection screen.

    The product overview is displayed.

  3. Click Versions to view the report sorted on product version.

  4. Click Builds to view the report sorted on product builds.

    The product build screen.

  5. Click Components to view the report sorted on product components.

11.6.2. Custom Reports

TCMS can generate a custom report based on search conditions.

11.6.2.1. Procedure: Create a custom report

To create a product report:

  1. From the REPORTING tab, click Custom

  2. Enter the search details:

    • Product
    • Product version
    • Case category
    • Case component
    • Plan name
    • Build

  3. Click Search. The results are displayed.

11.6.3. Testing Reports

TCMS can generate testing reports based on search conditions.

11.6.3.1. Procedure: Creating a testing report

To create a product report:

  1. From the REPORTING tab, click Testing Report.

  2. Select the product from the drop down box and either 1 or a range of versions.

  3. Click Generate Report. The results are displayed.

Note

No additional information is required to generate the testing report but if you want to provide values for Execute Date and Report Type you will get more specific results.
